Grade 5 & 6 Students High School Transition Evening

  • Date
  • March 14,2018

  • Time
  • 07:00:pm - 07:45:pm

Dear parents and carers,

The Grade 6 Team will be holding an information evening detailing the process for high school transition on Wednesday the 14th of March. The meeting will take place from 7.00pm - 7.45pm in room LS2 (situated in the Learning Street - accessible from Blyth St gate)

The aim of the evening is to clarify the process current Grade 6 students will follow regarding applications for government high schools in 2019 - as well as to respond to any questions and queries concerning the high school enrolment process.

Although the evening will primarily be focused towards current Grade 6’s, we encourage families of current Grade 5’s to attend also, as it can be informative in understanding the process of applying for both government and non-government high schools, as well as any select-entry programs. Please be aware that the process for non-government schools and any select-entry programs (both government and non-government) is completely external to the application process handled by APS. It is imperative that parents and carers looking to avail of these services contact the relevant schools directly, as dates and deadlines vary from school to school.

We look forward to meeting with you on Wednesday the 14th of March. In the meantime if you have any general questions about transition please don’t hesitate to speak to your child’s teacher or Grade 6 Team Leader (Andrew Gilpin).
